 Outboard Motors  are warranteed for 1 year  against manufacturing defects, however, abuse misuse inproper handeling , wear and tear , excessive over loads on the engine or improper gas/oil mixture will void warrantee.

Customer Satisfaction Policy:

We guarantee that the product that you receive will be the product that you ordered. If you are sent an incomplete or incorrect outboard, we will make sure that your order gets corrected with no additional charge to you. When such an issue arises and shipping is going to be involved, all shipping will be done by Standard Ground transportation. Also, if  a refund is due to you, all refunds will be done within 5-10 business days after the final decision of the disposition of your engine is made.

Shipping Policy:

We want your motor to be received in the same excellent condition in which it left the supplier's warehouse. Therefore, to avoid the possibility of any shipping damage occurring to your motor during transit,  we do everything within our means to assure that your motor is properly inspected and securely packaged before it leaves the warehouse. Please note, no matter what is done to prepare the motor there still is a slight chance of some shipping damage that might occur. Therefore, when you receive your package,  look over the contents of the box carefully to make sure that there are no signs of damage to the contents before you sign for the motor.

If the shipment looks good:

  • Sign on the paper where the driver shows you to sign.

If the shipment looks questionable:

  • If there is obvious damage to the product that you believe may have occurred in transit please note it very specifically on the paper that the driver gives you before you sign it.
  • Once you have made clear notes on the driver's paperwork that the motor did arrive damaged you can sign the paperwork and the driver is free to go.

           " In the case of shipping damage please do the following step:"

  1. Contact us right away so that we can take issue with the carrier and do whatever necessary to correct this matter expeditiously.

Type of Coverage:

  • All Risk & War Risk (Coverage is extended to include risks of war, strikes, riots, and civil commotions.)
  • Linehaul Deductible:
  • 3% of insured value, minimum $100.00
  • Distribution Deductible: $100.00

Special Insuring Conditions:

This coverage insures against all risks of physical loss or damage from external causes during transit excluding improper packaging, inherent vice, losses due to delay or loss of market. This coverage excludes coverage for wear, tear and/or gradual deterioration, rust, oxidation, and/or discoloration. Also, excludes mechanical or electrical derangement unless caused by a peril insured against hereunder. Warranted that the goods are accompanied with certification of repair or guarantee that they are repaired to a like new condition.

We know that a shipping claim can be an inconvenience for you and we want to express our appreciation in advance for your cooperation and patience. We hope that planning ahead and being prepared for the possibility of such incidents will result in a quicker, more customer friendly claim procedure.
 
 
 

Return Policy

Product-Specific Policies

The following products' return policies are exceptions to the standard return policy. Return authorization numbers are required for all returns.

No returns will be accepted except for damaged or defective merchandise. Contact IHSO, Inc. within 14 days of delivery to request return authorization.
 
 Defective merchandise may be returned only for replacement or repair with a return authorization number.

General Policies

Our goal is to provide exceptional service to all of our customers. IHSO,Inc. return policy covers two different sets of circumstances and provides two different sets of solutions, "A" and "B" as stated below.

  1. For the following situations at the time the customer receives the product(s):

    1. The product was received in defective or damaged condition
    2. An error was made by the sender by shipping the wrong item(s)

    The following remedies will be offered to the consumer for these above-listed cases, within 15 days of the item(s) being originally shipped. Thereafter, no returns or refunds are possible.

    1. The item(s) must be returned to the sender in brand new, unused condition in the original shipping packaging and with all parts, accessories, manuals, and blank coupons and/or warranty cards included. Either the customer will be reimbursed for return shipping costs, or there will be no shipping cost to the customer for these returns.
    2. Only if the item(s) are returned as described in (a) above, the customer has the option of asking for a complete refund, including the cost of the item(s) and the shipping costs. No restocking fees will be charged to the customer in these cases.
  2. For the following situations at the time or after the time the customer receives the product(s):

    1. The customer decides that he/she no longer wants the item(s) for any reason (does not like item(s), ordered wrong item(s), etc.)
    2. The customer placed the order incorrectly online
    3. The customer ordered an item(s) and then finds a better price and want to return the item(s) to IHSO,Inc.

    The following options are available to the customer:

    1. The item(s) many be kept by the customer, as ordered and delivered.
    2. Only within the first 15 days after the item(s) are shipped to the customer, the item(s) may be returned to the sender for a refund, if, and only if all of the following four (4) points are fully met. Otherwise, no refund will be given:
      1. The customer pays the full shipping costs both for returning the unwanted item(s)s and then the shipping of the replacement item(s).
      2. The customer pays 20% restocking fees required by the distributor(s)/manufacturer(s) involved in order  to cover all handling fees of restocking , packing , reboxing, and resubmitting documentation certification. 
      3. If there are additional product costs associated with the customer changing the original order, the customer will pay all those additional costs.
      4. The item(s) must be returned in unused, completely new condition, in the original packaging and shipping materials, and with all manuals, warranty cards, instructions, parts, and accessories included.

Please note in policy option B above, there is NO provision offered for a refund of the customer's money for original shipping.

Required Steps for Returns

If your situation qualifies you to return one or more items as defined within solution "A" or "B" as described above, you may return the item(s) you received by following the steps outlines below. Please remember that after first 30 days from the date that the item(s) were shipped to you, [not the date you received the item(s)] you loose the ability to return the item(s).

A Return Authorization Number (as explained below) is required before you can return any item. To receive a Return Authorization Number, you must contact IHSO, Inc. by phone or email

Without a Return Authorization Number, we cannot accept and process any return. When requesting this Return Authorization Number by email, you must include the following information in your email:

  • Your name (first and last)
  • Your phone number (including area code)
  • Detailed product description(s) and/or SKU number(s)
  • Reason for return (defective, shipping error, etc.)

Once you have the Return Authorization Number, follow these steps in shipping an item back as a return.

  • Products must be received by the warehouse within two weeks of receiving the Return Authorization Number. After two weeks, returns will not be accepted.
  • You must include a copy of the original packing slip with a note indicating the Return Authorization Number and the reason for the return.
  • The product must be repacked into its original packing, including the original packing slip.
  • The product must be shipped back to the address given by the returns department. The return authorization must be written on the outside of the shipping box (not the product box).
  • You must use a method of shipping that can be tracked, such as UPS or insured Parcel Post. This is important to ensure arrival at the facility from where it was shipped.
  • Return tracking number, date, and shipping method must be emailed  
  •  along with the Return Authorization Number and order number.

Please remember, refunds are not given for shipping changes (including return shipping) unless your situation fits within the definition of solutions "A" as explained earlier in this Return Policy.

You will receive an email confirming credit when it has been issued. This process can take up to 30 business days from the date the products are received at the warehouse.
